In her fall 2021 wedding dress collection, Lebanese fashion designer Gracy Accad chose to transport her brides to the epitome of opulence, so the natural choice was the palace of Versailles.
The sense of grandeur that lived in Versailles is evident throughout this collection but edited through a modern lens for today.
The fall 2021 wedding dresses by Gracy Accad feature dramatic ballgowns and expansive skirts of tulle and rich jacquards that make you dream of twirling across the dance floor of the legendary Hall of Mirrors.
The meticulous craftsmanship behind Versailles architectural details inspired her collection development as well.
"I work hand-in-hand with my atelier to ensure the highest level of construction behind every style. And just like the ornamentation created by the artisans back in the seventeenth century, the attention to detail is evident once you peel back the layers. For example, beyond the French lace on the gown’s skirt, you find countless layers of shaded Swiss tulle and organza behind, all diligently placed to create the perception of depth. It is this depth and detail in every style which I believe elevates my designs to something truly special and unique. In this reverie of splendor, my brides are modern and elegant as they stroll the garden's grounds emanating a sense of confidence that stretches back centuries." Gracy Accad.
