Wedding Dos and Don’ts You Should Know
We have compiled a few dos and don’ts that we think every bride and groom should know about before their wedding.
Do Lie: Once you mention the word “Wedding” to your florist, hairstylist or makeup artist, they will immediately charge you double if not more even more. So maybe this should be the one time you consider telling a white lie.
Don’t Wear Too Much Makeup: You don’t want your heavy makeup to melt down and ruin your look, and a few years from now you don’t want to look at your wedding pictures and regret having so much makeup on. So go for simple and elegant.
Do Splurge on Photography: Nothing will remind you of your wedding day more than your pictures, whether you’re having a small wedding or a big one, a great photographer will give you pictures to cherish forever.
Don’t Procrastinate: Especially if you have a full time job! The sooner you get things done the better. Even if you accomplish one small detail at a time, you will be more relaxed when the wedding date gets closer.
Do Get a Gift Registry: People will want to get you presents, so why not direct them towards the things you want? (And steer them away from the things you definitely don’t!) Send your gift registry details with your wedding invitations to make sure everyone knows about it.
Don’t Please Everyone: Some couples think their wedding is all about wowing their guests… wrong! Your wedding is about celebrating your love union with the ones who mean the most to you. So make your wedding fun and similar to your personalities instead of spending all your money on centerpieces and decorations.
Do Celebrate Your Cultures: Whether you come from different cultures or the same one, why not include this in your wedding? Try a special song, dance or food that represents your culture; both your families will love the thought.
