In 2017, Professor Jimmy Choo OBE joined The Atelier as Design Director and Creative Director and made his collection debut at Shanghai Fashion Week with the collection "The Atelier· The Stars" to great acclaim.
Professor Jimmy Choo OBE has designed for the late British Princess Diana among other famous women who loved his brand. In 2015, this talented and ingenious international shoe master began to turn his attention to wedding dresses. In his view, a wedding dress is more than just a piece of clothing, as actually it carries the dreams of every girl, the desire for love, and the expectation of their own wedding and future life. And this concept idea fully coincides with the concept of the Haute Couture craftsmanship that The Atelier has always held.
The spring-summer 2022 Atelier Couture wedding dresses by Prof. Jimmy Choo, OBE, are inspired by "Art Nouveau". "Art in Nature, Nature in art", not limited to existing traditional decorative patterns, but trying new aesthetic forms thanks to innovative design, the use of simple organic lines, and the thickness variations of the curve of the materials.
With the fusion of the stems of flowers and plants, the wings of insects and birds, and other natural modelling elements created on lace and embroidery patterns, they are applying what they are "learning from nature".
At the same time, the collection also gives hope for the vitality of recovery after the pandemic. The collection follows the brand's classic princess dress design, luxurious handcrafted decoration and emphasizes a more delicate naturalistic style, embedding beautiful symbols of design through modern craftsmanship to present the dream of coexisting art and romance.
