Mantis, the leading brand in sustainable hospitality, has announced the launch of its new resort, “Basqat by Mantis”, in the Al-Uyaynah area, just 40 minutes from central Riyadh, scheduled to open at the end of 2026.

The project is being developed in collaboration with Design & Build, GIB Capital, and the Tourism Development Fund, in line with Saudi Arabia’s vision to enhance sustainable luxury tourism under Vision 2030.

The resort will feature 218 accommodations, including suites, villas, and desert tents, along with comprehensive guest facilities such as fine dining restaurants, natural gardens, a spa, indoor and outdoor pools, beauty salons, and dedicated areas for yoga and events. The project will also include a traditional market and a children’s club, offering a full luxury experience for families, travelers, and business guests.

Mantis and its partners emphasized that the project embodies sustainable luxury, reflecting Saudi heritage and culture, while adhering to the highest environmental sustainability standards and designs inspired by the local natural landscape.

Craig Erasmus, CEO of Mantis, stated: "This project represents a key milestone in expanding our presence in the Gulf, allowing guests to discover the Kingdom through unique experiences that combine luxury, nature, and culture."

The resort is part of Mantis’ plans to grow its regional footprint, following the successful opening of Hiwar Resort in Bahrain and other projects in Al-Baha and Jebel Jais in the UAE.
