Below, we offer an exclusive first look at the brand’s 2018 Fall Collection, with a set of gowns that range from delicate to dramatic, but which always ensure that a bride is the centrepiece of her wedding day.
The Della Marie dress is the epitome of youthful elegance. With a jewel neckline, and modest quarter-length sleeves, this fit-and-flare gown boasts a figure-hugging construction that accentuates the waist, and elongates the figure, creating an illusion of height. Layered tulle flows out from the mid-thigh in a waterfall effect, with meticulous embroidery creating a pearlescent effect. The double train stemming out from the skirt is trimmed in lace - a luxurious addition to an already chic gown. The Della Marie dress has a versatile range of colours, from Soft Blush, as pictured above, to both Ivory and Antique Ivory, and is also very accessible with a zipper - although this is disguised by a button closure to ensure a sophisticated end result.
The Brinkley Lynette dress is designed for the bride who wants to make an impression. Full of flair and form, this gown is at once dramatic and tasteful, with an illusion sweetheart neckline, and a mermaid shape that is complemented by a layered organza skirt which emulates the rolling waves of the ocean. The additional finishing touch of the cold-shoulder sleeves, three times bejewelled, creates a glamorous effect, and the inclusion of lace adds to this. There is a subtle Baroque influence in this collection, with heavy and extravagant beading on the gowns’ bodices, which here in particular creates a distinctively lavish impression. The Brinkley Lynette dress comes in two differing shades - an Ivory gown with Soft Blush organza as is illustrated above, or Ivory with a Silver Accent.
Emulating a more traditional style, the A-line Annabella Marie dress is an exercise in subtlety for Maggie Sottero, whilst renouncing none of the characteristic features of this Fall collection. The layering of tulle and Tuscan organza in the skirt and incorporated train creates a princess-like effect, with the mix of fabrics causing the dress to practically glimmer, but without appearing too grandiose. The bodice of the dress is comprised of allover lace, with lace motifs adorning the jewel neckline and modest half sleeves, adding to the classical feel of the gown, with the buttons over a zipper creating a similar effect. The Annabella Marie dress is available in two colours: Ivory (as pictured above), and Ivory over Champagne, for an added touch of poise and grace.
As a gown that would not be out of place in a modern fairytale, the Lucienne Marie dress is inherently sleek, with the delicate translucent tank sleeves adding a dimension of romance to the design. This effect is replicated by the seamless blend of the dot tulle with the intricate lace overlay, which adds a boho-chic aspect to the gown, and spills out into a double train behind. The sheath shape of the gown creates a polished silhouette, and accentuates the bride’s natural curves, while the illusion sweetheart neckline and illusion scoop back draw attention to the fine lace embroidery. The Lucienne Marie gown is available in Ivory, and Ivory over Pearl, as pictured, for a more opulent visage, and matches well to a vintage-themed or bohemian-style wedding ceremony.
