A Five-Day Celebration of Music, Majesty & Modern Romance at Delano

When Shalin Kataria and Chanchal Guria envisioned their wedding, they imagined more than a celebration — they imagined an experience. Hosted at the iconic Delano, their five-day destination wedding unfolded as a seamless blend of tradition, spectacle, intimacy, and world-class entertainment.

Yet at the heart of the grandeur was something beautifully simple: Shalin and Chanchal are, at their core, relaxed, grounded, and effortlessly chilled individuals. Despite the scale, the celebrity performances, and the production magnitude, their priority remained clear — to genuinely enjoy every moment. And they did, wholeheartedly.

Conceptualised and executed by Innaz Communique, the celebration was designed as a progressive journey — each day building in scale, emotion, and energy.

Mehendi and Dhol Night:

The festivities opened with a vibrant Mehendi and Dhol Night at Blue Door Restaurant. What began as an intimate bridal mehendi evolved into a high-energy evening layered with live dhol performances, traditional tappe singers, and a full-scale dinner celebration. The couple laughed through henna sessions, danced without hesitation, and fully immersed themselves in the joy of having their closest family and friends around them. The tone was set early: this was a wedding to be lived, not just produced.

Sangeet:

If there was a night that defined grandeur, it was the Sangeet. With over 500 guests in attendance, the Delano Ballroom transformed into a concert-style arena. The evening opened with a curated cocktail hour featuring stylized dancers and live instrumentalists, setting the tone for what was to follow.

International music icons Jay Sean, Juggy D, and Rishi Rich headlined the night, supported by powerhouse live acts including Jeffrey Iqbal and an electrifying drumline ensemble. Amid the lights and headline acts, Shalin and Chanchal remained completely themselves — on the dance floor, singing along, pulling friends into the spotlight, and embracing the chaos of celebration with effortless ease.

The Wedding:

Saturday shifted into sacred tradition. Morning rituals honored heritage with grace before anticipation built for the Baraat. DJ Zaar and a dynamic drumline led the groom’s procession toward a breathtaking beachfront ceremony. As the sun descended, 400 guests gathered for the pheras against the ocean horizon.
