A Luxury Vintage Lebanese Wedding in Sardinia
A fairytale unfolds about a lavish Lebanese wedding, meticulously organized by Italian wedding planning company Elisa Mocci Events.
Renate and Jad, a couple hailing from the Emirates and Lebanon, selected the idyllic and secluded northeast coast of Sardinia as the backdrop for their grand celebration. The venue of choice was the exclusive Hotel Cala di Volpe in Porto Cervo, Costa Smeralda, renowned for hosting the most extravagant events globally.
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the cove named after the venue, the bride and groom immersed themselves in a luxurious affair. In attendance were elegant friends and relatives from the Emirates and across the globe, transforming the occasion into a spectacle befitting a luxury Lebanese wedding.
The theme for the event echoed a vintage-inspired vision; it was described by the bride during the initial design meeting as "Gatsby-esque but sweeter, full of details and emotions."
The wedding planner eagerly embraced the challenge, meticulously crafting each element to contribute to the unfolding narrative.
From the French lace umbrellas gracing the ceremony to the tableau personally handwritten on large mirrors, every detail was considered.
The beachfront ceremony, adorned with a profusion of flowers by the exceptional Philippa Craddock (later the floral designer for Harry and Meghan’s Royal Wedding), unfolded to the sound of waves. Philippa, along with 35 florists, had flown in from London for this special occasion. A floral-covered bridge led to the "cocktail garden," a journey adorned with hydrangeas, peonies, and English roses.
The wedding dinner structure, a bespoke creation inspired by lavish American outdoor parties, featured striking centerpieces and small decorations. A groundbreaking element, predating a trend that continues to captivate, was the first custom-made string lighting outdoor project in Italy.
Set to the melodies of Frank Sinatra, Renate and Jad danced, realizing their dream of love on a June night forever etched in the memory of all who attended.
