When you discover a venue like PER AQUUM Desert Palm Dubai, you discover serenity. The lush vegetation, gorgeous trees, horses, and polo fields make it the perfect destination for a secret city escape.
Pink blossoms dance in the breeze beneath rustling palms. Avant-garde design signatures punctuate the landscape.
While only 15 minutes from Dubai’s urban heart, you find yourself surrounded by stately lawns and polo fields that extend toward the city skyline. It is a place where you can retreat from the silver peaks and endless dunes to chic spaces for culinary refinement, spa indulgences and intimate getaways surrounded by manicured grounds.
May Halasa of Wedding Haven shared a unique photoshoot with us to give brides-to-be some inspiration.
"It was the perfect spot for a tropical wedding … in the desert. Needless to say I was in love and wanted to take advantage of everything that the venue had to offer, and sure enough with the help of some rather amazing vendors, my vision came true!"
Check out the stunning wedding photoshoot and all the details behind it:
The talented Paula Scalco was our photographer for the day. Paula captured our models’ (and real life couple) chemistry, and translated it into the tangible memories that can clearly feel in these photos. Her soft, dreamy, and romantic style push the envelope of all that is pretty.
Our hair and make-up artist, Monica from MHG Beauty, gave our bride a simple, yet sophisticated look that showcased all her beautiful features. She topped it all of with a low bun hairstyle that was light and modern—just the thing for a steamy tropical wedding!
We didn’t want to over-do it with the flowers so as not to take away from the natural beauty of the location, so we opted for a simple arch with white drapery and a combination of bright colored roses, hydrangeas, and foliage.
Design by Louma created an entirely bespoke acrylic invitation for the bride and groom. It was an instant statement piece that also lent a modern touch to the day. Keep an eye out for acrylic wedding invitations in 2016, as they are making a come back!
Our handsome groom looked incredibly handsome in his navy blue suit, and midnight bow-tie. We added suspenders to add a little bit of a more relaxed and fun element to the structure of his suit. As for the bride, she wore a gorgeous ivory gown designed by Ozlem Suer, available at The Bridal Showroom, and paired it with the coolest purple Hangisi crystal-buckle Satin pumps – talk about a wow factor! To finish off her look, she wore a delicate silver beaded handmade headpiece by Megan from ANAQA.
The text on the signs was provided by E-Walls Studio, who used vinyl wall stickers to print out a quote chosen by the couple, and used as their aisle décor, alongside the gorgeous pineapples.
Since the whole concept for the shoot was focused on tropical simplicity, we chose plain white benches, and accessorized them bright colored cushions. We also added a special touch to the space with a large “I DO” sign – all of which was loaned to us by Party Social
And finally, the wedding cake was created by Sugarology, and featured a colorful floral bottom tier, and a golden top tier with handmade sugar flowers.
