A vivid Indian destination wedding was held at the Dead Sea in Jordan from 21 to 23 December 2019; it was the Dead Sea's first large-scale Indian destination wedding held at any of its resorts. Jordan's Dead Sea area, located 60 km south west of the capital Amman, is the lowest point on earth and one of the most intriguing natural phenomena on earth. It boasts several 5-star resorts including the Kempinski Ishtar Dead Sea resort where the wedding was held.
After making several visits to Jordan and other countries in the Middle East, the groom's and the bride's families, along with their wedding planner, decided on Jordan. The Jordan Tourism Board spared no effort to facilitate the logistics needed to host this wedding from visa issuance, to transfers, customs and other services.
The resort was booked on a full buy-out basis, i.e. the hotel was entirely dedicated for the wedding guests during that period. For 3 consecutive nights and days the Dead Sea bursted with colors and buzzed with music; its air was infused with Indian aroma of its delicious cuisine while the wedding guests enjoyed a trip of a lifetime.
The 3 day fiesta was packed with 7 different events: an African night to pay tribute to the groom's father who has business interests in Africa, a Mehndi night, a fun-filled Sangeet evening, gala dinner, wedding ceremony, wedding dinner and a splendid pool party. In between these events wedding guests had time to enjoy the therapeutic Dead Sea mud treatments and relax at the resort's top-notch spa.
