For her wedding, Lori envisioned something extraordinary: a celebration where fantasy meets fine art, and where every detail becomes a brushstroke in a larger love story. She turned to the talented team at Carousel to bring that dream to life, and what unfolded was a Butterfly Waltz; an evening of enchantment held at the Oak Room in The Edition Abu Dhabi.

A Vision in Full Bloom:

Inspired by the moody romance of Dutch Master paintings, the bride imagined an English garden scene reinterpreted through bold color, layered texture, and poetic details. The team of Carousel Weddings and Events translated that vision into an immersive floral landscape, where meadows of flowers seemed to grow beneath candlelit tables, and butterflies danced midair, poised on a towering cake.

The venue was transformed into a living painting, rich with velvety blooms, warm candlelight, and painterly hues. Soft lavender napkins draped gracefully at each setting, echoing the colors of the custom menus and hand-painted backdrops beneath. Butterfly-accented place cards and delicate chocolate boxes made every guest feel like part of a fairytale.

A Cake That Told a Story:

And then, there was the cake—a breathtaking, sculptural showpiece handcrafted by the bride herself. Inspired by the gown she wore, an Oscar de la Renta masterpiece embroidered in delicate blooms, the cake was layered in intricate sugar petals, butterflies, and fine detailing that matched the artistry of the wedding itself.
