Check out our interview with Lebanese fashion designer Rami Kadi:
Brides often seek gowns that reflect their personality. How do you ensure each piece is a true representation of the bride's essence?
For me, every bride is a story waiting to be told through her dress. I take the time to listen to how she envisions herself on her wedding day, the details that matter to her, even her lifestyl,e and the energy she radiates.
From there, I translate those elements into design, whether it’s through the silhouette, the embroidery, or the fabric choice. I guide her with my creative vision, but I make sure the gown feels like her, not just a signature of mine. The moment she sees herself in the mirror and feels, “this is me,” that’s when I know we’ve created something truly personal.
Which current bridal fashion trends do you embrace, and which do you prefer to reinterpret in your own way?
I think every trend has something interesting to offer, whether it’s minimal lines, soft details, or dramatic volume. But instead of following them as they are, I like to reinterpret each one in my own way.
I take the spirit of the trend and give it a personal twist through embroidery, fabric choice, or silhouette so the gown feels unique, timeless, and true to the bride.
Are there any cultural or artistic references you’re exploring in your upcoming collections?
Each collection begins with a source of inspiration, it could be architecture, history, an art movement, or even a memory. I like to transform these references into something modern while keeping the essence of couture.
For me, it’s not about copying a theme, but about creating a dialogue between culture, art, and fashion.
Are there any fashion icons or celebrities whose style you particularly admire or draw inspiration from?
I find inspiration in every woman who has her own style and isn’t afraid to show it. For me, it’s not about fame or status, but about how a woman carries herself and makes fashion a reflection of her personality. That kind of individuality is always inspiring.
How do you keep each bridal gown unique while staying true to your brand’s aesthetic?
Every bride has her own story, and that’s where the uniqueness comes from. I listen to her vision and personality, then bring it to life through the language of the Maison. My aesthetic is always present, but I adapt it so the gown feels personal to her. That balance is what makes each dress one of a kind while still carrying the signature of my work
