A Romantic Marigold Celebration in Lebanon

Set within the historic grandeur of Sursock Palace, this unforgettable celebration, planned to perfection by Joelle Hassoun Weddings, was a masterclass in refined elegance and layered design. With its sweeping arches, old-world architecture, and lush gardens, the venue became the canvas for a wedding that felt both timeless and contemporary. Inspired by tones of marigold gold, the palette brought warmth, richness, and a luminous glow to every corner of the outdoor layout.
The creative vision of The Sunday Studio, which designed and styled the wedding, revolved around the idea of layers: layers of texture, layers of color, and layers of emotion. Long banquet tables were draped in marigold-gold fabric that pooled beautifully to the floor, creating movement and visual depth. Lush arrangements of white flowers—hydrangeas, roses, anthuriums, and delicate seasonal blooms—softened the bold palette and added a dreamy, romantic feel. The interplay between crisp whites and warm golds struck the perfect balance, making the entire setting glow from day to night.
One of the most enchanting design touches was the use of chandeliers placed directly on the floor, lighting the pathway most unexpectedly and magically. These low-set chandeliers reflected against the draped tables and soft fabrics, casting an ambient shimmer that elevated the atmosphere as guests entered the garden. Paired with towering palms and greenery, the lighting created a refined yet transportive scene—both theatrical and intimate.
From the dramatic golden curtains lining the palace walls to the thoughtful layering of textures across the tablescape, this wedding was a stunning symphony of design, emotion, and artistry. Every detail came together to transform Sursock Palace into a world of its own, one where history met modern romance, and where beauty was crafted with purpose in every direction.
