The new Fall-Winter 2022/2023 collection presents fitted floor-length bridal gowns on lightweight mesh corsets; cashmere coats, and dresses made of quilted fabrics decorated with pearls and glass beads.
Тhe collection of EDEM Maison stays true to the principles of 'slow fashion', where the main emphasis is on being environmentally friendly, rethinking the classic canons of beauty and reasonable consumption. The main trend of the new season is the movement towards greater comfort. Tight classic corsets are replaced by lightweight options on a dense mesh, and crinoline skirts are replaced by soft, flowing silk.
The main distinguishing feature of EDEM Maison is the love for traditional crafts and unique embroidery. In the Fall-Winter 2022/2023 season, the brand uses classic techniques, such as heavy embroidery; lace applique; quilting technique (art stitched fabrics); as well as new techniques - the technique of free pleating on jacquard, (the fabrics created in collaboration with the Parisian Atelier Lognon). Special attention is paid to the finest Chantilly lace, assembled from various elements to create elaborate fantasy fabrics.
The spirit of the collection is inspired by the style of Edwardian England (1900-1910). It was a time of rapid cultural and social growth, inventions and scientific discoveries, the beginning of an active struggle for the rights of women around the world. It was the time that famous couture ateliers emerged in Europe, which began to rethink the image of a woman. This era was a turning point for women's fashion and a major move from tight corsets, floor-length skirts, and voluminous hats.
