Casey Affleck and Summer Phoenix have confirmed their separation on Wednesday After 10 years of marriage.
They have two sons, Indiana, 11, and Atticus, 8, Affleck and Phoenix got married in 2006.
Summer met Affleck through her brother Joaquin Phoenix in 1995 when he and Affleck, worked on To Die For.
They started flirting after a while then eventually started dating in 2000.
Affleck proposed to Phoenix during the Christmas holidays in 2003.
Phoenix said in an interview that in 2004 she was four months pregnant with Indiana while Affleck was filming Ocean's Twelve.
Both of them are vegetarians and support animal rights.
But last September Phoenix attended PETA's 35th anniversary party in without Affleck.
The split comes nearly 9 months after Ben Affleck, Casey's brother, separated from wife Jennifer Garner after 10 years of marriage.
