Mariah Carey is already planning her wedding to James Packer.
And according to some reports, Mariah Carey may be getting married on the Hayman Island on the Great Barrier Reef.
Luxury resort One&Only is said to be one option for the location, with rooms costing more than $12,000 a night.
“She is super excited,” an insider told People magazine. “And she has never been in a better place.”
The resort hosts weddings for an exclusive clientele. The venue reportedly accommodating up to 150 guests and is a popular destination for beach weddings, described as a private island resort located “in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef”.
An insider said: “It’s an absolutely stunning spot and they plan on using one of James’ private planes to shuttle their guests in. It will be an amazing party.”
Mariah Carey apparently has at least four designers working on a gown since contacting them months ago. That’s before Packer popped the question.
A source close to one of the suspected designers, LA-based fashion student Sabrina Desage, 17, said: “Mariah reached out last fall and made it clear that she has asked several designers to create a one of a kind design for her and that she will ultimately choose one of them. There’s no guarantee that Sabrina’s dress will be the one she wears on the big day, but it’s a really exciting opportunity.”
