The ceremony was canceled due to an emergency that occurred in Selchuk Bayraktar's family.
Ozdemir Bayraktar had a heart problem and was rushed to the hospital only hours before the event took place.
Ozdemir Bayraktar is the owner of Baykar Makine and his son Selchuk is an an engineer defense industrialist who specializes in making unmanned vehicles and is pursuing a higher education.
Media reports said that Sumeyye Erdogan and Selchuk Bayraktar had now decided to marry.
