The New York International Bridal Week maintained its position as the premier marketplace in New York City. The exhibitor base representing countries across the world continues to draw a global network of retail and press to Piers 92/94.
This October's market, which ran from October 8-10 saw solid buyer attendance along with an extremely strong showing of industry press. Buyers from across the country and around the world viewed the very best in Bridal gowns, accessories and Special Occasion labels. The "Designer Gallery" welcomed cutting edge designers from a myriad of countries including a pavilion of designers representing the MADE in ITALY initiative. Marquee names such as Mon Cheri, Casablanca Bridal, Essense of Australia and Terani were stand outs with their Spring 2017 collections.
The acclaimed Fashion Theater was the home to 6 impressive runway shows including individual presentations from Olvi’s Lace Collection, Casablanca and Eve of Milady, as well as other collective runway shows including Designer Spotlight and Made in Italy Bridal Couture - each show, press worthy and packed to full capacity. Buyers and exhibitors enjoyed access to two onsite cafes the mywedding.com buyer break and roving Prosecco cart, Belvoir lemonade toasts, a complimentary press stage and more interactive features.
The Mon Cheri Academy held an informative seminar for buyers that kicked off the tradeshow. Martha Stewart Weddings hosted a seminar, led by Editor in Chief, Amy Conway, and Associate Publisher, Jennifer Marder. The team presented a forecast on 2017 trends to a group of retailers and designers.
With nearly 250 exhibitors this year's NY International Bridal week, was the destination for all things Bridal including exciting events, informative seminars and all the right names to know.
