Ocean Media have today confirmed the acquisition of a controlling stake in leading luxury wedding and destination event organiser Bridelux Ltd, operated by James Lord.
The Bridelux Destinations event takes place at The Royal Horticultural Halls, London on 2 & 3 March 2018 and the Bridelux Atelier (formerly the Quintessentially Weddings Atelier) takes place at the Rosewood, London on 9 & 10 March 2018.
The Luxury Wedding Fair, taking place at Olympia London from 22-24 September 2017, will in the future form part of the Bridelux portfolio.
Having previously run a luxury destination planning agency, James Lord has 20 years of experience in the industry. In 2012 he became Director of Weddings at Quintessentially and subsequently launched the Atelier events; operating them independently since 2015.
Ocean Media Managing Director Matt Miller said, “James is amongst the best connected international operators in the industry with decades of experience at the very top end of the wedding planning market. We’re delighted he’s joined us to spearhead our plans to build a global portfolio of luxury and destination wedding shows and planner conferences.”
Bridelux MD James Lord added, “The investment and operational support from Ocean will ensure our global expansion plans can move very quickly. Our events will include shows, editorial products and conferences. We’ll grow through both organic launch and acquisition. We’ll be announcing our first event in the United States shortly.”
