Tue 21-03-2017

Leading names in bridalwear will reveal their 2018 collections at the UK’s premium bridal trade show, White Gallery London. A mix of international designers and home-grown talent will take to London’s Battersea Evolution this May, along with buyers and press from around the globe, all keen to discover the latest names and trends that are taking the bridal industry by storm.

Names confirmed to show at White Gallery London include Savannah Miller, Karen Willis Holmes, Jesus Peiro, Savin, Zaeem Jamal and Gemy Maalouf, alongside over 80 of the industry’s most talented bridal designers.

English fashion designer Savannah Miller will make her White Gallery London debut with her eagerly awaited bridal collection. Savannah Miller continues to be inspired by her bohemian upbringing, love of vintage silhouette and the wild English countryside; the collection has a classic gracefulness and truly British country bridal aesthetic. Fine ivory chiffon is layered with nude satin and Chantilly lace. Corded lace work is appliqued with a delicacy reminiscent of a hazy summer garden; in contrast, silk Morocaine offers structured elegance in classic archive inspired silhouettes.

Australian designer Karen Willis Holmes reflects on her lifelong love of fashion and celebrates the spirit of today’s modern bride in her latest collections; including her Spring Meadow campaign consisting of romantic and feminine gowns finished with delicate beading, fluid ruffles and floral inspired lace. The second instalment from Karen Willis Holmes is her Montsalvat Campaign that takes a nod from the traditional wedding dress, adapted for the stylish and sophisticated modern bride with contemporary cuts and slim silhouettes.

Returning jewellery brand Halo & Co are set to reveal their 2018 collection, bringing a fashion heartbeat into the bridal accessories market. The latest collection stays true to the company’s heritage with simplistic lines and edges with opulence and rich components. The jewellery reflects old traditions in jewellery making, remembering the craftsmanship and skill that goes into every piece. This approach of fusing together modern looks and forward-thinking style has given them a recognisable signature.

Jesus Peiro will showcase a delicate and suggestive collection with a subtle richness in terms of fabrics, volumes and colour. The collection encompasses an assortment of silhouettes with gowns that span church aisles with voluminous skirts to slinky silks gowns that brush the body. Sleeves, detailed backs and transparencies continue to be of the upmost importance to the Jesus Peiro bride. Delicate work with Chantilly lace, embroidery on fine organza and the contrast of openwork fabric finish the collection.

Raishma will take to White Gallery London for the first time this year; marrying folklore inspirations with eastern artistry and strengthening her signature bohemian aesthetic for her 2018 collection. Using delicate fabrics of tulle, soft georgette and lace, the designer is expanding her scope by incorporating lace into the collection, showing her mastery of intricate hand embroidery to create romantic gowns with a mixture of soft silhouettes, fuller gowns and 3-D embroidery. This encapsulates Raishma’s philosophy by demonstrating excellent craftsmanship through flawless artisan skills, using only the finest quality fabrics and focusing on each detail with a meticulous eye.
