Indian weddings are traditionally multi-day affairs and involve many intricate ceremonies and details entrenched in Indian culture and rituals. Traditional Hindu marriage ceremonies, which could last for 4 to 5 days, could put a lot of stress on Wedding Planners if the different pre-wedding events and the elements of the wedding itself were not well thought out and seamlessly executed.
To arm UAE-based Wedding Planners with the skills necessary to plan and organise Indian Weddings and to further develop the weddings industry in Dubai, Arabia Weddings has put together a workshop in association with Vivaah Weddings who have planned, conceptualised and managed many luxury Indian and South East Asian weddings in Dubai and around the world.
'How to Throw an Indian Wedding' workshop will be held on Wednesday, 28 February 2018 at Dubai Opera Studio, a meeting room inside Dubai Opera. The main components of this crash course targeted at Wedding Planners include:
- Indian Wedding Facts & Figures
- Wedding Cultures & Traditions
- Celebrations & Rituals
- Cuisine Specifics
- How to sell yourself better
- Sweeten the Deal
- Decision Making
- Timelines & Progress
- Family Loyalty
- Budgets
- Expect the Unexpected
- What not to say
Dubai hosts many Indian weddings for Indian families residing in the UAE, and for Indian families living in India, the UK and other countries around the world. Many of these weddings are lavish celebrations that are so colorful and vivid.
The workshop will also include:
- A tour of the magnificent venues at Dubai Opera that are used for weddings
- A coffee break at Sean Connoly Restaurant
Arabia Weddings organised 2 earlier workshops for Wedding Planners in the UAE in April 2017. Read: Arabia Weddings and Carousel Collaborate to Deliver Wedding Planning Workshops in Dubai.
